Tomdoun is neither grand nor pretentious and retains all of its Victorian charm. The pitch pine staircase and doors remain as they were over a hundred years ago. The mix of comfy old leather chairs and luggage set together with polished wooden dressers covered in old books give an air of calm homeliness to this lovely, traditionally built hotel.
We have ten bedrooms, five of which have views over the River Garry and the mountains beyond. Downstairs there’s a traditional bar, usually with at least one fire burning, stocked with over 100 malt whiskies as well as everything else you would expect to see. There’s a spacious Dining Room and comfortable Drawing Room both with open fires. We welcome well behaved dogs but do ask that they are kept out of the public rooms. A five pound charge is made at the end of your stay as there’s always a little more cleaning to do.
